About the Game

A simultaneous worker-placement game set in early 20th-century France, where you play a cheesemaker making, aging, and selling artisanal cheeses across four venues: the festival, the fromagerie, the bistro, and the villes. Each round, players place workers together, then the board rotates 90 degrees clockwise, aging any cheese made and presenting a new venue to each player. The longer a cheese ages (bronze, silver, or gold), the longer its worker stays put before rotating back into play.

My Thoughts

8/10

My favourite part is how thematic the aging mechanic feels, choosing to age a cheese longer means genuinely waiting for your worker to come back, not just paying an abstract cost. Four very different scoring venues and a solo mode that gets properly tough at level 4 keep it interesting well past the first few plays.
